It has been far too long since I've been in this space of writing...sharing...encouraging. I apologize. The last couple months of 2017 were a whirlwind for me and my family. Between the Holidays, running 2 businesses and contemplating huge life decisions LIFE WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE! And now that we are midway through January, life is still busy and I am trying to find balance. Oh and to add to the "crazy", we are relocating to Dallas, TX in about 4 weeks!
When I say life comes at ya fast! Whew! God opened a door for my husband- a life changing opportunity with the Company he works for and after much prayer, and confirmation from God, we knew we had to jump on it. So here we are preparing to leave Southern California and begin our new adventure. We've traveled twice to visit and LOVED it. Its a big change coming from the city, but a change we welcome! Change is good, its exciting but can also be scary. New surroundings, new house, getting to know people, etc.
One of our main priorities is making this a smooth transition for Jaxson. Moving is NO JOKE! lol He is now 2 & 1/2 and loving everything about life, always happy and smiling. We felt this would be a good time to relocate while he is still young and before he starts school. Jaxson is growing so quickly and gaining more independence. He is definitely ready for pre-school, so we are looking into that again and hope to enroll him once we are settled in Dallas. If you follow us on Instagram then you know, he is pretty active and is always keeping us on our toes :)
I am in awe of his growth and development these days. He was in Speech Therapy until recently (we will be starting back once we move) and he is making so many more sounds & following directions. He really tries hard and I LOVE that! He's a smart little guy who is determined...I hope he stays that way because that's a great trait to have.
MARRIAGE & MOTHERHOOD
Motherhood has been so awesome and hard too if I'm honest! Balancing being a wife, mom and Entrepreneur can get overwhelming sometimes. But, at the end of the day I really love it and know that God purposed me for ALL of this! I am literally "ON" all day and night and that can get to me sometimes. So, this year I'm making an effort to take care of myself better, while also striving to be a better WIFE & MOM. I know when to yell, "TIME OUT"! As moms, we can get so lost in the shuffle and that's not healthy. I'm thankful for my husband who accommodates me needing a moment to myself or a moment to unplug. Speaking of my husband, we are also making an effort to be more intentional in our marriage. And by intentional I mean, listening to what the other needs, praying together daily, filling each others love tanks, spending quality time together...you get the point! Listen, if you want your marriage to work, you gotta work it! Real talk and more on THAT later! In addition to that, I have some big goals I would love to accomplish this year and I already fulfilled one.
ONE DAY AT A TIME
With the help of a wonderful and talented Designer, I created an INSPIRATIONAL JOURNAL for miracle moms! This project was something that had been on my heart for some time and I slowly worked on it here and there. I am really pleased with how it turned out. Alyssa took my words and brought them to life with beautiful colors and a whimsical design. I'm grateful for what God poured in ME to pour out to other Mothers. Whether your baby is in the NICU or home now, this journal is something that you can benefit from. You can check out the, "ONE DAY AT A TIME" Journal on my store HALOS & MIRACLES website. I hope it will bless you or someone you know! Feel free to share it with a mom that you know could use some extra encouragement! We all could use a gentle reminder to take life ONE DAY AT A TIME!
Anyway, that's what's been going on with us! I promise to not stay away from my blog. I have lots to talk about and of course would love to know if there's anything specifically you would like to read about...so let me know! You can email me at: email@example.com or fill out the General Contact form. Either way, I would love to hear from ya and please know you will be hearing from me!
