If you’ve been following along on Instagram then you’ll know that my pregnancy has been moving right along! I’m in my 20th week and baby C is right on track. I began getting Makena (progestrone) injections at 16 weeks, in hopes of carrying full term! The auto injectors shots are administered behind the arm and they BURN! I mean literally my arm feels like it is on fire for at least an hour to 2 post shot. I’ve gotten 5 so far and the burning is sensation is getting more tolerable, but I have starting to have soreness and knots at the injection site. Ice packs are my friends :)
I know its been a minute since I've check in here. Things have been ok...since I last posted we went to the OB (in April) for my sonogram to check for fibroids. My appointment was scheduled for the day after our Anniversary and the original day that we would've heard the baby's heartbeat. So many emotions, but we got through it! After a lengthy and not so comfy appointment, my Doctor did let me know that I do have fibroids, but they are not causing any issues or concerns. She encouraged us to wait to try again in 3 months- in her opinion, waiting this length of time would allow my body time to heal and regulate. No problem, we aren't in a rush! I know that God has a plan and He will open my womb to receive the blessing of a baby when its time. Soooo stay tuned, I believe that whatever God has next for is will be amazing!
In other news, Jaxson recently had a developmental evaluation: Battlle Developmental Inventory 2nd Edition.
Well friends it's been 2 years since we brought our little miracle Jaxson home from the NICU! 2 years...can you believe it??? I am humbled and eternally grateful for our journey. We went from not being sure our son would make it, to conquering the NICU rollercoaster for 119 days and him becoming a NICU grad. Over the last 730 days, by the grace of God he has been healthy and free from any hospital re-admissions which for a 22 week preemie is AMAZING! Whew!
